Our Medical Specialists

Dr. Attila Vereczkey
The atmosphere of the rural general practice where I spent my childhood and the civic lifestyle of my multigenerational physician family fundamentally shaped my worldview. The opportunity to travel the world and gain insight into the operation of leading global healthcare institutions—from Canada to Japan, across North and South America, Australia, Asia, and Europe—further developed the knowledge I initially acquired at the Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical University in Szeged. I later complemented this foundation with studies in Health Economics and International Diplomacy at the University of Economics in Budapest. I have worked in leading healthcare institutions, both domestically and internationally, across private and public sectors.
Within the field of obstetrics and gynecology, I have gained specialized practice and experience in the investigation and treatment of infertility, gynecological surgical procedures (including endoscopic and robotic surgery), reproductive genetics, and fertility preservation. However, what matters more than all this is that I had the privilege of working alongside extraordinary individuals who truly shaped my approach to the medical profession, to my patients, and to the complex issue of infertility. The experiences I've gathered in medicine have taught me that, as a physician, I must always identify the treatment method that offers the most effective and safest solution for each individual patient. I provide care to my patients at Versys Clinics, the private healthcare institution I founded in Hungary, which meets the highest international professional standards. Through the "Cross-Border Reproductive Care" system developed by our clinic, we offer patients access to the expertise and programs of the world's leading fertility institutes. I am a board member of several national and international scientific societies and actively participate in the global scientific community. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to acquire such extensive experience, knowledge, and practical insight—something I owe to my family, my homeland, and the friends and colleagues who have helped shape me.

Dr. István Albert
As a urologist and andrologist, I specialize primarily in the diagnosis and treatment of male infertility and erectile dysfunction. I began my medical career at the Urology Department of the Central Hospital of the Ministry of the Interior, and later spent many years working at the Urology-Andrology Department of the Military Hospital in Budapest, including its affiliated Andrology Center. During this time, I also accepted a short-term position in Denmark. Currently, I practice privately in Budapest and work in close collaboration with the professional teams of fertility clinics. I regularly conduct male infertility assessments and treatments, as well as andrological surgeries, such as testicular biopsy, varicocele (enlarged vein in the scrotum) surgery, hydrocele (fluid accumulation) surgery, vasectomy (male sterilization), and circumcision procedures. My patients come from all parts of the country, and I welcome them in a calm, discreet environment with maximum attention and empathy.
I am the author of several national and international scientific publications and a frequent speaker at andrology conferences—particularly on topics such as male infertility, sexual disorders, and health issues affecting older men. I received my medical degree in 1990 from the Faculty of General Medicine at Semmelweis University of Medicine and later obtained specialist qualifications in three different medical fields.

Dr. József Joó PhD, habil.
In addition to obstetrics and gynecology, I am deeply committed to the fields of genetic diagnostics and clinical pharmacology, as a dedicated advocate of a complex, scientifically grounded approach to medicine. I earned my medical degree in 1996 from the Faculty of General Medicine at Semmelweis University, followed by three board certifications: Obstetrics and Gynecology (2001), Clinical Genetics (2004), and Clinical Pharmacology (2013).
My academic career was further strengthened by obtaining a PhD in 2006 and habilitation in 2015. Between 2014 and 2016, I completed a postgraduate program in Healthcare Management at Corvinus University of Budapest, gaining additional qualifications as a healthcare management specialist, which enhanced my leadership skills. Since 2018, I have been a Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. My medical philosophy is defined by interdisciplinarity and patient-centered care. My work focuses on prevention, precise diagnostics, and the implementation of complex care models. I have extensive experience in managing high-risk pregnancies, performing gynecological surgeries, and providing genetic counseling.

Dr. László Kalmár PhD
I am an obstetrician-gynecologist with several decades of clinical experience, specializing in gynecologic oncologic surgery. I earned my medical degree in 1988 from the University of Szeged (formerly Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical University) and later broadened my expertise through prestigious international fellowships in Leiden, Geneva, and Munich.
My professional philosophy is grounded in precise diagnostics, experience-based surgical decision-making, and the highest level of attention to patients. Since March 2023, I have been continuing my professional work as Chief Consultant of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Military Hospital in Budapest.

Dr. Tidhar Steiner
I graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at Semmelweis University in 2001, where I earned my specialization in obstetrics and gynecology. Early in my career, I focused on ultrasound diagnostics, which remains my primary area of expertise. My key professional interests include the early detection of fetal brain developmental disorders and the ultrasound monitoring of twin pregnancies. My diagnostic work is supported by advanced expertise and state-of-the-art ultrasound technology.
I hold internationally recognized certifications from leading professional organizations, including ISUOG (International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology), IOTA (International Ovarian Tumor Analysis), and FMF (Fetal Medicine Foundation). Currently, I lead the Hungarian National Registry of Brain Malformations (NMMR) on behalf of the National Public Health Center (NNK), and I am co-founder of a national foundation dedicated to the research and support of fetal brain anomalies.
I maintain close professional collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Semmelweis University and the Brain Malformation Unit of the MRI Research Center. As a scientific advisor, I also participate in the EU COST international program focused on brain disorder research.

I was captivated by the world of assisted reproduction already during my university years, and since then, my commitment to the field has only deepened. I graduated as a biologist and am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Human Assisted Reproduction and Embryology at the University of Valencia.
Since 2023, I have been a member of the Versys Clinics team, working every day to support our patients with both professional expertise and dedicated care. I firmly believe that empathy and emotional support are just as essential as the application of the most advanced scientific technologies.

Luca Júlia Flink
I have been working at Versys Clinics for six years as a dedicated midwife and sonographer, supporting our patients with care and commitment. I earned my degree from Semmelweis University in 2018 with distinction and obtained my sonography qualification in 2020 from Széchenyi István University.

As a key member of the Versys Clinics team, I play an important role in supporting patients, ensuring the smooth conduct of treatment processes, as well as managing cross-border infertility programs and international partnerships.
I am committed to ensuring that the patients who turn to us receive the highest standard of care and feel safe, clearly informed, and personally supported throughout the entire duration of their treatment.

Emese Récsányi
During my university years, I can say that I stumbled into the field of assisted reproduction quite by chance, and I was immediately captivated by its world full of miracles. I earned my biology degree in Budapest, and I am currently studying in Szeged to obtain a master's degree with qualifications in molecular biology, immunology, and microbiology. Since December 2024, I have been a research fellow at Versys Clinics, where I strive to support the research activities that take place behind the scenes of the clinic. Even during my studies, I set it as my life's goal to contribute to the preservation and advancement of life through science and biology. Therefore, with all my knowledge, I work to make the lives of our patients fuller and to help them bring forth one miracle after another.
It is particularly important to me that our patients receive smooth, attentive care, especially during day surgery procedures.

Erika Szarka
I am delighted to be a member of the experienced team at the internationally recognized Versys Clinics infertility center. Throughout my career, I have gained experience working in a trauma outpatient clinic and a private clinic, where it always brought me great joy to see patients recover fully after an accident or illness. My nursing vocation has always been guided by the intention to help those who turn to me with empathy and care.
In my work, I accompany patients on their journey to parenthood — from infertility examinations and treatments, through pregnancy care, all the way to the postnatal period.
As a mother, I deeply understand the hopes of couples who come to us wishing to experience the joy of becoming parents themselves. It is a joy to accompany them through this process — to see returning, familiar faces and to be part of their unique stories.

Ottó Müller
I began working with Dr. Attila Vereczkey in 2001, at that time still within the public healthcare system. When he opened his private clinic, he honored me by asking me to join him—and we have now been working together for over 25 years. It is a great joy for me to carry out my work alongside such a highly knowledgeable and respected professional, as part of a clinic that operates at an exceptionally high standard.
I am a qualified surgical assistant. My responsibilities include maintaining the hygienic conditions of the operating theatre and adjacent areas, as well as actively participating in the preparation and execution of surgical procedures.
Every day, I strive to support the medical team with precision, reliability, and the utmost care, so that our patients receive the best possible care.
